Primrose Hill - NW3

This micro courtyard is unique in that the owner has created a design that has excavated this out of a basement property, 3.0 metres below ground level. My choice of introducing 3 multi-stemmed Birch trees underplanted with ferns evokes a woodland landscape that fits the scale of the space and calms the soul. Interesting shadow play on the large wall creates additional interest. Evergreen Jasmine clothes the adjacent wall, providing perfume in the summer months and dense nesting habitat for birds.
